Norwich 4 Liverpool 5: Reds player ratings as Roberto Firmino impresses
Player rating after Liverpool edged to a 5-4 victory at Norwich City in a thrilling game at Carrow Road
Liverpool
Simon Mignolet Conceded another goal from a set-piece, albeit, after the ball was initially cleared. Could do little to stop Steven Naismith’s goal or Wes Hoolahan’s penalty. 5/10
Nathaniel Clyne He looked off the pace. Part of a Liverpool defence that still can’t defend set-pieces. 5
Kolo Toure His desperate dive couldn’t stop Naismith from making it 2-1. The Ivory international played pretty well. 6
Mamadou Sakho Deceived by Mbokani for Norwich’s first-half equaliser. Otherwise, Sakho didn’t too much wrong as Liverpool’s full-backs struggled. 6
Alberto Moreno Played his part in Liverpool’s opener. He skewed a free-kick attempt wide. Showed utter stupidity to concede a second-half penalty. Disappointing performance from the Spanish full-back. 4
Lucas Leiva He was on the receiving end of a nasty Naismith challenge in the opening five minutes. He switched off for Norwich’s second goal. 5
Jordan Henderson Scored Liverpool’s second of the game less than a minute after Hoolahan put the home side 3-1 up. 7
Emre Can The Germany international went to sleep as Naismith raced past the midfielder to score Norwich’s second goal. An uncharacteristically poor performance. 6
James Milner Played in Firmino for the opener at Carrow Road. Gratefully received Russell Martin’s awful back pass and evaded Declan Rudd to make it 4-3. 7
Jordon Ibe The England Under-21 international made a bright start. His run led to Firmino’s goal. Replaced in the second half, much to his disgust. 6
Roberto Firmino (Man of the match) The Brazilian continued his goal-scoring form with a finish from a tight angle. Played a sublime pass to set free Lallana before he showed superb composure to place a finish past Rudd. 9
