Owen Hargreaves has confidently predicted that Saido Berahino could score as many as 20 goals a season should he secure a transfer to Tottenham Hotspur.

The 22-year-old striker has been heavily linked with a move to White Hart Lane in recent weeks after Spurs’ failed attempts to sign the player during the summer transfer window.

Tottenham are inevitably being linked with a swoop for the player before Monday’s January transfer deadline following their interest in the forward over the summer.

And former midfielder Hargreaves feels that West Brom striker Berahino would be a good addition for the north London club.

Speaking on BT Sport on Saturday, Hargreaves said: “He (Berahino) is a super player and he is going to score a ton of goals.

“In the right team in Spurs, he might get you 20 a season.”
