Paul Merson makes prediction about Eden Hazard’s Chelsea future
Paul Merson is tipping Eden Hazard to leave Chelsea to join Real Madrid in the summer transfer window
Paul Merson is expecting Eden Hazard to end up joining Real Madrid from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
The Belgium playmaker’s future has been a source of speculation in recent weeks after the Blues’ disappointing start to the new season.
Hazard, who was named the PFA player of the year last season, has struggled to find consistent form of late and is yet to score in the Premier League foe Chelsea this term.
Real Madrid are thought to be considering a big-money summer bid to sign the 25-year-old in the summer transfer window.
And former Arsenal man Merson is convinced that Hazard will end up joining Real Madrid if the Spanish club look to secure his signature in the summer months.
Merson told Sky Sports: “It is very rare that a team like Real Madrid or Barcelona come after you [Hazard] and you do not end up there, and it is as simple as that really.”
