Philippe Coutinho had a special birthday message for Lucas Leiva on Saturday
Philippe Coutinho has taken to social media to send a personal birthday message to Lucas Leiva after the Liverpool midfielder turned 29 on Saturday.
Lucas was not involved as Liverpool were held to a 2-2 draw by Exeter City in the third round of the FA Cup on Friday night to set up a replay at Anfield in the coming weeks.
Coutinho has been one of Liverpool’s star players so far this season and has scored five goals and made three assists in 17 Premier League games for the Merseyside outfit.
The Brazilian playmaker is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury picked up during the 1-0 win over Stoke City in the League Cup last week, but he still took the time out to send a personal message to his compatriot on his special day.
Lucas shared the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “Today is the birthday of this guy who I admire a lot for professional and especially for the person who is. happy birthday my brother, may God bless you today and always. I wish you much happiness, love and peace.”
