David De Gea posts a message dedicated to Victor Valdes ahead of Man United goalkeeper's mystery move
David De Gea has paid a special tribute to Victor Valdes ahead of the Manchester United goalkeeper’s imminent January move.
The Spain international revealed on Twitter that he is on the brink of a move away from Old Trafford after being out-of-favour under manager Louis van Gaal.
Valdes, who is a three-time Champions Legue winner, was ordered to train away from the rest of the United first-team squad after falling out with his former Barcelona manager.
The 34-year-old posted the below tweet, with Sky Sports News HQ claiming that the former Barcelona man is set to join Belgian side Standard Liege on loan until the end of the season.

De Gea seems to be in the transfer loop, too, after he posted a message for his compatriot on his Instagram page on Thursday morning.
De Gea wrote: “We learn a lot from the best! Good luck my friend in this new stage! @vicvaldes1”
Valdes made just two appearances for the Red Devils during a 12-month stay at Old Trafford.
