Dele Alli speaks of his disappointment after Tottenham Hotspur's 1-1 draw with Everton
Dele Alli couldn’t hide his disappointment on Instagram after Tottenham Hotspur failed to beat Everton on Sunday.
The England starlet was unhappy with what many would describe as a good result for Tottenham after a 1-1 draw with Roberto Martinez’s unpredictable Everton side at Goodison Park.
Former Spurs winger Aaron Lennon broke the deadlock with a sumptuous volley in the 22nd minute after Tom Cleverley and Romelu Lukaku combined to tee up the summer signing.
However, Alli, who moved to Tottenham in a £5m deal from Everton in the summer transfer window, equalised on the stroke of half-time after he guided Toby Alderweireld’s floated cross past Tim Howard.
The 19-year-old midfielder posted his thoughts on the stalemate on his Instagram page, thanking Spurs supporters for helping the rising England star reach 100,000 followers.
Alli wrote: “Was disappointing not to leave with all 3 points yesterday! However happy to get on the score sheet.. Also finally reached 100k on here, thanks to all my followers! I will be doing a give away in the next few days✌️💙#COYS”
