Didier Drogba sends a message to Chelsea star Willian after his brilliant strike in a 3-0 win at Crystal Palace

Didier Drogba has praised Willian for his brilliant goal in Chelsea’s 3-0 victory at Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

The defending Premier League champions secured their first victory under new manager Guus Hiddink following goals from Oscar, Willian and Diego Costa aganst the Eagles.

The former Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder scored the pick of the west London side’s goals after he fired an instinctive shot past Heurelho Gomes from outside the area.

Willian revealed in an Instagram post that his goal celebration was in honour of retired Chelsea striker Drogba. He said:

“Celebrating like my bro @didierdrogba”

Drogba was clearly flattered by Willian’s dedication and sent a response to Chelsea’s best player this season on the social media app.

Drogba wrote: “Like a Bosssssss @willianborges88 😂😂 Great goal bro, Salute!!!!! #hhaiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnn 😂😂😂”

The Blues have already lost nine Premier League games this season, although Chelsea have avoided defeat since Hiddink took over the reins from Jose Mourinho.
