Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere visits some poorly children in Great Ormond Street hospital

Jack Wilshere may not be putting smiles on the faces of Arsenal supporters, but the Gunners midfielder is brightening up the lives of some poorly children in London.

The England international is still sidelined with injury after the 23-year-old midfielder suffered a fresh setback the day before Arsenal’s Community Shield triumph in August.

Wilshere was thought to be close to a return to action in November, however, the former Bolton Wanderers midfielder is yet to pull on the Arsenal shirt in a competitive game.

But the England playmaker has been making the most of his free time and has visited some poorly kids in Great Ormond Street hospital to do his bit away from the training pitch.

Wilshere posted the above photo and wrote on his Instagram page: “Absolute privilege meeting Chloe, other patients & all the staff at Great Ormond Street in helping the ‘Give to GOSH’ appeal! #GivetoGOSH #EveningStandard”

Wilshere is yet to feature for Arsenal this season after undergoing surgery on a broken leg before the start of the campaign back in August.
