Bastian Schweinsteiger has a message for his Manchester United team-mates...
Bastian Schweinsteiger has taken to social media to remind his Manchester United team-mates to continue working hard following their winning start to the year.
The German World Cup winner played the full 90 minutes as Louis van Gaal’s men ended their run of eight games without a victory by beating Swansea City 2-1 at Old Trafford on Saturday thanks to goals from Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney.
The win will have come as a relief to Schweinsteiger and his Manchester United team-mates after a disappointing end to 2015 resulted in their elimination from the Champions League at the group stage and allowed Tottenham Hotspur to leapfrog them into fourth place in the Premier League.
Schweinsteiger, who joined United from Bayern Munich during the summer transfer window, is now gearing up for this weekend’s FA Cup third-round clash with Sheffield United.
And the 31-year-old midfielder is looking forward to continuing to work hard in the build-up to that game.
Schweinsteiger posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “Keep working #mufc”
