Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini hails Tomas Rosicky's return from injury ahead of Sunday's Stoke City clash
Mathieu Flamini was quick to welcome Tomas Rosicky back into the Arsenal fold as the Gunners trained ahead of Sunday’s trip to Stoke City.
The Czech Republic international has been sidelined for most of the Premier League season due to a knee injury which required an operation in the summer.
However, the 34-year-old trained with Arsene Wenger’s first-team on Saturday afternoon to hand the north London side a timely boost ahead of their clash at the Britannia Stadium.
Flamini, who has enjoyed a run in Wenger’s starting line-up due to injuries to Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin, was thrilled to have Rosicky back in first-team training.
The France midfielder posted the above photo and wrote the following caption: “Final training session before tomorrow’s game at Stoke City. Great to have my old friend Tomas Rosicky back..!!😀 #arsenal #gunners #premierleague”
Arsenal are in second place in the Premier League table after Leicester City’s 1-1 draw with Aston Villa at Villa Park on Saturday evening.
The Gunners haven’t won against the Potters at The Britannia since February 2010.
