Morgan Schneiderlin is hoping Manchester United can prove more prolific this season
Morgan Schneiderlin says he hopes Manchester United can be more prolific this year.
The Red Devils ended an eight-game winless run in all competitions thanks to a 2-1 victory over Swansea City at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Iceland international Gylfi Sigurdsson cancelled out Anthony Martial’s second-half opener before Wayne Rooney netted a brilliant winner with 13 minutes remaining.
Schneiderlin partnered Bastian Schweinsteiger in midfield for the visit of the Swans, and the France international is hoping the Red Devils can improve in front of goal in 2016.
Schneiderlin wrote on his Instagram page: “1st game,1st victory !
May this year be more prolific…”
The France international, who moved to United in a £25m deal from Southampton in the summer transfer window, has made one assist in 14 Premier League appearances so far this season.
The Red Devils are in fifth place in the Premier League table but nine points behind current leaders Arsenal after the north London side were 1-0 winners against Newcastle United at The Emirates on Saturday afternoon.
