Theo Walcott issues a rallying cry ahead of the start of Arsenal's defence of their FA Cup crown
Theo Walcott has issued an Arsenal rallying cry as Arsene Wenger’s players prepare to defend their FA Cup crown on Saturday afternoon.
The England international is expected to start against the Black Cats in the third round after a recent sustained run in the Arsenal manager’s starting line-up.
The Gunners won successive FA Cups after beating Hull City and Aston Villa at Wembley in 2014 and 2015.
Arsenal are two points clear of Leicester at the top of the Premier League table after a 1-0 victory over Newcastle United at The Emirates last weekend.
And the 26-year-old forward, who is a two-time FA Cup winner, posted the above snap from their final training session at London Colney on Friday afternoon.
Walcott wrote: “Looking forward to defending the #FACup tomorrow! #COYG”
Walcott has scored three goals and has made two assists in 14 Premier League games so far this season.
The north London side make the trip to rivals Liverpool in their next Premier League game on 13 January.
