Wayne Rooney and Bastian Schweinsteiger pose for a selfie after Manchester United's 2-1 victory over Swansea City

Bastian Schweinsteiger congratulated Wayne Rooney on becoming the Premier League’s second-highest goal-scorer of all-time as the pair took a selfie following Manchester United’s 2-1 victory over Swansea City.
The Red Devils edged into an early second-half lead on Saturday afternoon thanks to Anthony Martial’s goal before Swansea midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson levelled with 20 minutes remaining at Old Trafford.
However, under-fire United skipper Rooney netted a brilliant strike with just over 20 minutes to go to secure the Red Devils’s first Premier League win since 21 November at Watford.
And Schweinsteiger posted a selfie with his United team-mate as the Red Devils celebrated a rare win to start 2016 on a positive note.
Schweinsteiger wrote on the photo-sharing app: “Special congrats to @waynerooney for becoming the second highest scorer in @premierleague history. What a record! ⚽️”
United are in fifth place in the Premier League table but remain nine points behind leaders Arsenal after the Gunners were 1-0 winners against Newcastle United.
