Serbia Under-21 international Marko Grujic completes a reported £5.1m move to Liverpool on Wednesday
Jurgen Klopp secured his first Liverpool signing on Wednesday after Marko Grujic completed his transfer from Red Star Belgrade.
The Serbia Under-21 international put pen to paper on a contract with the 18-time English champions after successfully passing a medical at Melwood training ground.
The 19-year-old becomes the first signing of Klopp’s reign after the Reds managed to beat off competitions from Russian sides CSKA Moscow and Zenit St Petersburg.
Grujic is set to return to Red Star on loan until the end of the season as his boyhood club look to win Serbia’s Superliga after an impressive first half of the season.
The attacking midfielder has scored five goals in 21 top-flight appearances for Red Star so far this season.
