Mohamed Elneny was all smiles as he posed for photos in an Arsenal shirt following his January transfer to the north London club from FC Basel.

The midfielder officially joined the Gunners on Thursday after relentless speculation about the deal in recent weeks, as manager Arsene Wenger looked to bring in cover for the injured Francis Coquelin.

Elneny spent three years with Basel, making more than 90 league appearances and winning three consecutive Super League titles.
