Pierre-Emerick Aubayemang gives transfer update amid Arsenal speculation
Arsenal target Pierre-Emerick Aubayemang delivers a cryptic update on his Borussia Dortmund future
Pierre-Emerick Aubayemang has played down talk of a move to Arsenal in the January transfer window.
The 26-year-old won Africa’s Ballon d’Or award earlier this weekend after a stunning 2015 for the Gabon international for the Bundesliga side.
I am here and nowhere else – not at Arsenal, not at Barcelona, not on the moon – you can see that
Aubayemang has already scored an incredible 27 goals in 27 games for Dortmund so far this season, prompting talk of a £42m bid from the Premier League leaders.
However, the Dortmund striker, who has also been linked with a move to Liverpool, delivered a cryptic update on his Dortmund future on Wednesday afternoon.
“In football nothing lasts forever,” Aubayemang told BILD. “But my contract runs until 2020, that is a fact. I feel happy, still want to achieve lots with Dortmund and win titles, that is also fact.
“I am here and nowhere else – not at Arsenal, not at Barcelona, not on the moon – you can see that.”
The African striker scored 21 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund last season.
Aubayemang has also been linked with a move to Liverpool after his former Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp took over the reins at Anfield in October.
Arsenal have been linked with a massive £42m offer for the Gabon striker as Arsene Wenger looks to strengthen his attacking options.
