Piers Morgan uses Liverpool loss to aim dig at Arsenal boss on Twitter
Piers Morgan couldn't resist a dig at Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger on Saturday afternoon...
Piers Morgan has defended Jurgen Klopp after the German’s Liverpool side slumped to a 2-0 loss to West Ham United in their opening Premier League game of the new year.
Goals from Michail Antonio and former Reds striker Andy Carroll earned the Hammers a comfortable victory in east London to hoist them above Liverpool and up to fifth place in the Premier League table.
Arsenal fan and shareholder Morgan often called for the Gunners to consider Klopp as a replacement for Arsene Wenger at Emirates Stadium before the former Borussia Dortmund boss was appointed as Brendan Rodgers’ successor at Anfield back in October.
And Morgan took to Twitter after Liverpool’s defeat on Saturday afternoon to claim that Klopp would have done a better job at Arsenal than Wenger over the last decade.
Morgan tweeted:
Klopp hasn't won Premier League in 2 months with another manager's squad: FAILURE
Wenger hasn't won it in 11yrs with his own squad: GENIUS

@piersmorgan you honestly think Klopp would have done better in last 11 years at arsenal with all the restrictions Wenger dealt with? NO!

Of course he would! Look what he did at Dortmund in same period. https://t.co/2aoRjs55aX
