Roberto Firmino has taken to social media to wish Lucas Leiva happy birthday after the Brazilian midfielder turned 29 on Saturday.

Neither Firmino or Lucas featured as Jurgen Klopp’s men secured a 2-2 draw with Exeter City on Friday night to set up an FA Cup third-round replay at Anfield.

Lucas has been a regular fixture in midfield for the Reds this season and has made 16 Premier League appearances for the Merseyside outfit so far this term.

And summer signing Firmino was quick to use his personal Instagram account to send a birthday message to his compatriot on Saturday.

Firmino posted the picture above of the duo on the photo-sharing app and wrote: “Happy birthday Meu parceiro @leivalucas Deus Abençoe Sempre!!”
