Slaven Bilic predicts where Arsenal, Man City will finish this season
The West Ham United boss is backing Manchester City to win the title ahead of Arsenal...
Slaven Bilic believes that Manchester City are the slight favourites to win the Premier League title this season ahead of Arsenal.
The West Ham United boss is preparing to welcome Manuel Pellegrini’s men to Upton Park on Saturday evening as the Hammers look to dent the Citizen’s title hopes.
Arsenal head into this weekend’s round of fixtures top of the Premier League table on goal difference from second-placed Leicester City.
The north London side, who have not won the title since the 2003-04 season, host local rivals Chelsea at Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
And although Bilic believes that City are leading the way as the favourites, he admits that this season’s title race is incredibly close.
Writing in his column for the London Evening Standard, Hammers boss Bilic said: “Basically it appears now that it’s a three-way race between our opponents tomorrow, plus Arsenal and Leicester City. Right now, I would go for City to win the title. There are some doubts, though.
“Away from home they have not always been that impressive. They win some of those games with something to spare but in between there are draws, even defeats.
“The same goes for Arsenal. Just when you think they will open up a gap at the top, they also draw or lose a game. To be fair, the most consistent team is Leicester.”
Arsenal were held to a goalless draw by Stoke City last weekend after Manchester City beat Crystal Palace 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium.
