Stan Collymore urges Jurgen Klopp to sell Liverpool star

Stan Collymore wants Liverpool to get rid of number one goalkeeper Simon Mignolet

Stan Collymore has urged Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp to sell his first-choice goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.

The Belgium international produced another erratic performance in Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Premier League leaders Arsenal at Anfield on Wednesday night.

Mignolet was beaten at his near post for Aaron Ramsey’s strike, before the much-maligned shot stopper failed to claim a corner and Olivier Giroud poked a finish between the Belgian’s legs.

Liverpool have been linked with a move for a goalkeeper in the January transfer window, although Klopp has insisted that the Reds won’t sign a new shot stopper this month.

But ex-striker Collymore, who played with David James during his Anfield career, is adamant that the Reds won’t make any progress with Mignolet in goal.

Liverpool have already conceded 27 times in 21 Premier League games so far this season.

However, Mignolet kept more clean sheets than any other Premier League goalkeeper in 2015.
