Thierry Henry discusses Arsenal's remaining plans for the January transfer window
Thierry Henry does not believe that Arsenal need to make any more signings during the January transfer window following the arrival of Mohamed Elneny from FC Basel.
The north London club continue to be linked with a host of big-name players this month as Arsene Wenger considers bolstering his squad to give them the best possible chance of winning the Premier League title.
Henry wanted to see Arsenal move to bring in a holding midfielder after Francis Coquelin was ruled out of action for a number of weeks with a knee injury.
And the former Arsenal striker feels that Wenger does not need to bring in any more players this month.
Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Friday morning, Henry said: “We always talk about the same thing – is it the time to buy, are you going to find players available?
“Elneny just arrived, we all know what he does, he’s pretty much a destroyer in midfield.
“Welbeck is coming back, Sanchez is coming back, hopefully Jack Wilshere will come back, Rosicky, Coquelin… Those guys will be like new signings.
“He went on to buy a holding midfielder after people were screaming and saying that’s what he should buy.
“I think right now the team is showing that they’re good enough to perform.
“I said a couple of weeks ago that he should go out and buy a holding midfielder – and he did.”
