Thierry Henry makes claim about Chelsea after their win at Arsenal

Thierry Henry says Chelsea still have a long way to go to get back in the race for a top-four finish

Thierry Henry has claimed that Chelsea still looked “fragile” despite their 1-0 win over Arsenal at The Emirates on Sunday.

The Blues battled hard to secure a much-needed win in north London after Arsenal were reduced to 10 men in the 18th minute when Per Mertesacker brought down Diego Costa, who was through on goal.

Costa then gave the visitors the lead in the 23rd minute when he finished from close range to hand Chelsea the three points.

The result lifted Chelsea up to 13th place in the Premier League table and left them 14 points behind fourth-placed Tottenham in the race for Champions League qualification.

However, Arsenal legend Henry feels that the Blues still have a long way to go before they can consider themselves to be back in the hunt for a top four finish.

Speaking on Sky Sports after Sunday’s game, Henry said: “To go back to the Chelsea of old times, they would have won 2-0, 3-0 or 4-0.

“They didn’t look like they wanted to go forward. You can see that they’re still a bit fragile for my liking.

“Let’s see if they can win back-to-back games for the first time this season before we talk about top four.”
