Lineker, Bright and more: Twitter reacts as Chelsea beat Crystal Palace 3-0
Gary Lineker and Mark Bright both tweet their thoughts as Chelsea return to winning ways with a 3-0 victory at Crystal Palace
Chelsea made a winning start to the year by claiming an impressive 3-0 victory at Crystal Palace at a rain-drenched Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon.
The Blues, who headed into the game on the back of their goalless draw with Manchester United last week, took the lead when Oscar tapped home after being found by Diego Costa.
The goal filled the west London side with confidence, and the visitors doubled their lead against the Eagles when Willian hit a sensational second in the 60th minute.
And Costa then sealed the victory with a tap-in to help the west London side move up to 14th place in the Premier League table.
The victory will come as the perfect start to the year for Chelsea fans after the Blues’ disastrous start to the season result in Jose Mourinho’s sacking and left them in 16th place heading into Sunday’s game.
The result prompted plenty of activity on Twitter – and here are some of our favourite updates.
Classic Chelsea.Hope it's not a false start to the year.

1 of the first things Hiddink seems to have done at Chelsea is allow the back 4 to play deeper. No real space for opposition in behind now

Just our luck, #cfc find their mojo against us. No lack of effort, Mr Friend wasn't our Friend if you know what I mean. Onwards & upwards.
