Ahmed Musa to Man United latest: Reports claim deadline day deal on the cards
Manchester United could make a late swoop to sign Ahmed Musa from CSKA Moscow before Monday's deadline, say reports
Manchester United are set to battle with Leicester City to secure the signature of Ahmed Musa on transfer deadline day, according to reports.
Musa has been heavily linked with a transfer to Leicester in recent weeks as Claudio Ranieri looks to bolster his attacking line-up at the King Power Stadium.
United have been struggling for goals this season and the Daily Mirror is now reporting that the Red Devils are considering a late swoop for the Nigerian striker, who has scored 10 times in 29 games this season.
The same newspaper report also claims that Leicester have already had a £15m bid rejected for Musa, with his current club CSKA Moscow holding out for a fee of at least £20m.
Musa is said to have a release clause in his CSKA contract of around £22.8m and his club are reportedly keen on keeping him until the summer.
United are currently gearing up for their Premier League home clash against Stoke City on Tuesday after their FA Cup win at Derby on Friday.
