Alberto Moreno has talked up Jurgen Klopp’s impact at Liverpool since his appointment as Brendan Rodgers’ successor at Anfield back in October.

The charismatic German has enjoyed a mixed start to life in charge of the Reds following his appointment late last year.

The Reds booked their place in the League Cup final against Manchester City last month but have struggled to produce consistent form in the Premier League.

Liverpool have only won three of their last 10 top-flight outings and head into Saturday’s clash with Sunderland at Anfield nine points adrift of the top four.

However, the Spanish defender is a big fan of the former Borussia Dortmund boss and is thrilled to be working under the German on Merseyside.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with ESPN FC, Moreno said: “He’s a manager who likes his full-backs to be very attacking and that’s something I love. I really like supporting the attack.

“He’s a manager who really feels football. It’s his passion and he transmits this to the dressing room which is important before you go out on the pitch.

“He’s a very open manager and is always talking to the players; he tells you your shortcomings and what you’re good at.”

Liverpool head into Saturday’s clash with Sunderland at Anfield looking to return to winning ways after their 2-0 loss to Leicester on Tuesday night.
