Arsenal legend Ray Parlour sends message to Man United striker

Ray Parlour congratulates Marcus Rashford on an amazing start to his Manchester United career

Ray Parlour has congratulated Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford on a memorable week in his young career.

The 18-year-old scored twice in the first half as the Red Devils eased to a dramatic 3-2 victory over bitter rivals Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

Rashford was handed his first Premier League start after the United teenager scored two goals on his Red Devils debut on Thursday night, helping Louis van Gaal’s side seal a 5-1 victory over FC Midtjylland in the Europa League last 32.

While Parlour was understandably disappointed to watch his beloved Gunners fold at Old Trafford, the former Arsenal midfielder was magnanimous in defeat, heaping praise on Rashford for his breath-taking start to life as a United first-team player.

The Red Devils are in fifth place and three points behind fourth-placed Manchester City.
