Andy Gray states his prediction for Arsenal v Hull City
Andy Gray is fully expecting to see Arsenal ease to victory over Hull City in the FA Cup on Saturday lunchtime
Andy Gray is backing Arsenal to ease to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Hull City on Saturday lunchtime and book their place in the sixth round of the FA Cup.
The Gunners head into the game looking to build on their dramatic 2-1 comeback win over Leicester City at The Emirates last weekend as they moved to within two points of the Premier League leaders.
It is the third season in which Arsenal have been pitted against the Tigers, as Arsene Wenger’s men look to make it a hat-trick of FA Cup wins in as many years.
And former Everton man is expecting to see the north London side ease to victory over Steve Bruce’s men in north London on Saturday lunchtime.
Writing in his blog for Paddy Power, Gray said: “Hull are on top of the Championship and have only lost once in their last nine league games.
“Arsenal have a little bit of wiggle room to ring some changes especially seeing as their Champions League game against Barcelona is on Tuesday.
“Their bench was the strongest I’ve seen it in a long time against Leicester, and the subs made the difference. Steve Bruce knows whoever is picked, it’ll be a whole host of international footballers.
“It’d be a major surprise if they threw away their FA Cup title. I’ve been saying for weeks that there’s a beating coming for a team against Arsenal. It might happen to Hull.”
Arsenal will then turn their attentions towards their crunch clash with Barcelona in the Champions League at The Emirates on Tuesday night.
