Michael Owen states his prediction for Arsenal v Hull
Michael Owen is tipping Arsenal to beat Hull City in the FA Cup on Saturday lunchtime
Michael Owen is backing Arsenal to reach the sixth round of the FA Cup by beating Hull City at Emirates Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.
The Gunners head into the game looking to build on their dramatic 2-1 comeback win over Leicester City in front of their home fans in the Premier League last weekend.
Arsene Wenger’s men have come up against the Tigers for three season’s running and are aiming to lift the trophy for a third consecutive year in May.
Former England and Liverpool striker Owen is expecting to see Steve Bruce’s men find the net at The Emirates but reckons that the Gunners will still win the tie.
Writing in his column for Bet Victor, Owen said: “I don’t know what the odds are on it happening, but this is the third season in a row that the clubs have been paired together in the competition including the 2014 Wembley final – I can’t see past another Gunners’ success.
“Neither side wants a draw given they have other end-of-season targets, and I expect to see goals at The Emirates.”
Arsenal are currently third in the Premier League table after their win over the Foxes and two points behind the leaders heading into the final 12 games of the season.
The Gunners have not won the top-flight title since the 2003-04 season.
