Andy Gray states his prediction for Arsenal v Leicester

Andy Gray is expecting Arsenal to claim a comfortable win over Leicester City in the Premier League on Sunday

Andy Gray is expecting to see Arsenal secure a 3-1 victory over Leicester City in Sunday’s crunch clash at Emirates Stadium.

The Foxes are likely to give Arsenal a stern test of their title credentials, with Claudio Ranieri’s men heading into the game on the back of their stunning 3-1 win at Manchester City last weekend.

Leicester have been made the favourites to win the Premier League title in recent weeks and head into the game top of the table and five points clear of second-placed Tottenham.

However, Arsenal returned to winning ways by beating Bournemouth last weekend and former Everton man Gray is expecting to see the Gunners claim victory on Sunday lunchtime.

Writing in his blog for Paddy Power, Gray said: “I know Leicester are flying. I know they’re top. I know they’ve tightened up at the back. But I said last week that Arsenal are due to hammer a team very soon with the amount of chances they’re creating, particularly at home.

“If they click on Sunday, there could be a repeat of the 5-2 earlier in the year.

“I fancy Arsenal to win at home, if they were against any team in the country I’d say the same. They’ll concede (because Leicester always score) but this is a big game, and Wenger knows how to come out on top.”

Arsenal have won the FA Cup for the last two seasons but have not lifted the top-flight trophy since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 campaign.

The Gunners finished third last season.
