Avram Grant reveals Barcelona’s weakness ahead of Arsenal clash

Avram Grant reveals Barcelona's weakness ahead of Tuesday night's game at the Emirates Stadium

Avram Grant has claimed that Barcelona do have a weakness ahead of their clash against Arsenal in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Barcelona are unbeaten in their last 32 games and Luis Enrique’s side have won eight successive games in La Liga ahead of their trip to north London.

The Catalan side were one of only two sides to tackle the Champions League group stage without suffering a defeat, winning two on the road.

Speaking ahead of Barcelona’s clash against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday, Grant insisted the holders aren’t the same side on the road, pointing to their unconvincing 2-1 win against Las Palmas on Saturday.

“When Barcelona are playing away, it isn’t the same team that are playing at home,” Grant told Sky Sports.

“On the pitch, it is hard to find a weakness.

“But their weakness is their games away from home by Barcelona’s standards.

“Even the last game when they played away, it isn’t the same.”

Arsenal came from behind to beat Barcelona 2-1 when the teams last met in London in the 2010/11 round of 16, Robin van Persie and Andrey Arshavin overturning David Villa’s first-half goal.

Barcelona recovered with a 3-1 second-leg success in which Lionel Messi scored twice. Sergio Busquets had briefly given Arsenal hope with an own goal that made it 1-1.
