Andy Gray states his prediction for Bournemouth v Arsenal
Andy Gray looks ahead to Arsenal's Premier League clash with Bournemouth on Saturday
Andy Gray is tipping Arsenal to return to winning ways by claiming a narrow 1-0 victory over Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League.
The Gunners have been in stuttering form since the turn of the year and have not scored in their last three Premier League games.
Their recent slump allowed their bitter local rivals Tottenham Hotspur to leapfrog them into third place in the Premier League table heading into the final 14 games of the season.
Arsenal have been touted by many to be genuine contenders to win the title this season but their recent lacklustre displays have caused that status to be question.
However, Gray is expecting Arsenal to have too much for Bournemouth when they return to action on Sunday afternoon.
Writing in his column for Paddy Power, Gray said: “Arsenal haven’t scored since that incredible 3-3 draw against Liverpool. What that says to me is that someone is going to get a hiding from them soon.
“I’d be concerned if I was Wenger, but they’re creating a lot of chances. Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last four, Benik Afobe has done really well. But I’m backing the Gunners.”
Arsenal, who finished third last season, are currently five points behind leaders Leicester City heading into this weekend’s games.
