Charlie Nicholas predicts where Arsenal will finish this term

Charlie Nicholas is still backing Arsenal to win the Premier League this season...

Charlie Nicholas is backing Arsenal to end their long wait for the Premier League title this season.

The Gunners are being touted by many to have their best chance at winning the top-flight trophy for many years this term as they prepare to welcome leaders Leicester City to Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Arsenal have not won the title since the 2003-04 season but know that a victory over the high-flying Foxes at The Emirates on Sunday would move them to within two points of top spot heading into the final 12 games of the season.

Former Arsenal man Nicholas had originally backed Arsenal to win the league at the start of the season and is tipping Arsene Wenger’s men to lift the trophy in May.

Nicholas told Sky Sports: I’m sticking with the same side I’ve had all season, Arsenal. Never admit you’re guilty on Valentine’s weekend!

“If Arsenal lose on Sunday then yes, maybe I’ll concede it’s Leicester’s season as they haven’t been convincing, not as convincing as the current top two anyway.

“The question is, however, do either of them have the knowledge to get it done? They’re the two away teams on Sunday and, without copping out, any of the four can win it.

“Man City also have Vincent Kompany coming back and that could be huge, where as Leicester and Tottenham have been fortunate with injuries.”
