Cesc Fabregas caught up with a former team-mate during Arsenal's loss to Chelsea last month

Cesc Fabregas has taken to social media to share a picture of himself catching up with Alexis Sanchez during Arsenal’s 1-0 defeat by Chelsea at Emirates Stadium last month.

Fabregas was in fine form for the west London side against his former employers as he was named man of the match during the victory, with Diego Costa scoring the only goal of the game in the first half after Per Mertesacker was sent off.

Sanchez made his return from a hamstring injury as a second-half substitute during the game but was unable to help Arsene Wenger’s men conjure an equaliser.

Fabregas played alongside Sanchez during the pair’s time at Barcelona, with both players moving to the Premier League in the summer of 2014.

And the Chelsea midfielder was clearly happy to catch up with his former team-mate at The Emirates last month.
