Daley Blind has taken to social media to thank Manchester United’s fans for their support after the Red Devils were held to a 1-1 draw by Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

Jesse Lingard put United ahead with a stunning turn and shot into the top corner in the 61st minute at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea pressed for an equaliser but were unable to find a breakthrough as Branislav Ivanovic and Cesc Fabregas forced good saves from Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.

But Guus Hiddink’s men finally conjured a leveller in the 92nd minute when Diego Costa found a way past De Gea and fired into the empty net.

Blind admitted that he was disappointed not to leave Stamford Bridge with all three points but thanked the travelling fans for their support.

Blind posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “Disappointed with the point, feels like a defeat, great effort of the team today and Great goal of @jesselingard, away Fans again top class thank you!!! #MUFC”
