Eden Hazard looks to be in a positive mood heading into Chelsea's clash with Newcastle on Saturday

Eden Hazard looked to be in good spirits after Chelsea completed their final training session ahead of their Premier League clash with Newcastle United on Saturday lunchtime.

The Belgium international will be hoping to start the game as the Blues look to return to winning ways after they were forced to come from a goal down to earn a 1-1 draw with Manchester United last weekend.

Hazard has struggled with a groin injury in recent weeks and has not started a game since the 5-1 FA Cup win over MK Dons last month.

However, the 25-year-old will be hoping to have proved his fitness in time for the Magpies’ visit to Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

Chelsea shared the picture above on the club’s official Instagram account on Friday evening and wrote: “Thumbs up from @hazardeden_10 after training today! #CFC #Chelsea #Hazard”

Hazard, like many of his Chelsea team-mates, has struggled to find consistent form this season. He has only managed to score one goal so far this term in all competitions.

The former Lille star has been linked with a summer transfer to Real Madrid in recent days.
