Stat shows why Gabriel Paulista can be a key player for Arsenal

Gabriel Paulista's record for Arsenal makes for impressive reading this season...

Gabriel Paulista is gradually settling into life at Arsenal following his January transfer to the north London club last year.

The Brazilian centre-half started Sunday’s 2-0 victory at Bournemouth and played the full 90 minutes alongside Laurent Koscielny as Arsene Wenger’s men claimed a comfortable win at the Vitality Stadium.

Gabriel has earned plenty of praise for his performances alongside Koscielny in recent weeks – and these stats show that the defender can become a key figure for the north London club.

Arsenal have only conceded one goal this season in games in which Gabriel has played the full 90 minutes, underlining his defensive qualities.

It remains to be seen whether Wenger will opt to keep Gabriel alongside Koscielny ahead of Per Mertesacker for next Sunday’s crunch clash with Premier League leaders Leicester City at Emirates Stadium.

Stable Gabriel

Arsenal have conceded just one goal this season when Gabriel Paulista played the full 90 minutes.

The games:
0-0 v Liverpool
1-0 v Newcastle
3-0 v Man United
2-1 v Everton
2-0 v Bournemouth
0-0 v Southampton
2-0 v Bournemouth
