Glenn Hoddle says Tottenham are serious contenders for the Premier League title

Glenn Hoddle believes that Tottenham have underlined their status as genuine contenders for the Premier League title by beating Watford 1-0 at White Hart Lane on Saturday.

Kieran Trippier tapped home substitute Dele Alli’s low cross in the 64th minute to wrap up a dominant win for Spurs in front of their home fans in north London.

The north London side moved up to second place in the Premier League table thanks to the win, and currently trail leaders Leicester City by five points heading into the final 13 games of the season.

Former Spurs boss Hoddle was thoroughly impressed by what he saw from the Lilywhites on Saturday – and feels that Mauricio Pochettino’s men are growing in confidence as the Premier League title race hots up.
