Ian Wright has backed Tottenham Hotspur to win the Europa League if Spurs can get past Borussia Dortmund in the last 16.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side reached the next round of the Europa League after an impressive 3-0 win against Fiorentina in their second leg at White Hart Lane on Thursday night.

Tottenham were pitted against Jurgen Klopp’s former club Borussia Dortmund in Friday’s Europa League last-16 draw.

Liverpool and Manchester United will do battle to reach the quarter-finals of the competition over two legs at Anfield and Old Trafford.

Speaking to BT Sport, former Arsenal striker Wright explained why he believes Tottenham are the most-likely Premier League club to achieve Europa League glory.

“I still fancy Tottenham out of Liverpool and Man Utd,” Wright told BT Sport.

“Tottenham are in better shape than both of those teams.”

Tottenham switch their focus back to the Premier League on Sunday afternoon when Spurs host Swansea City at White Hart Lane.

The north London side are in second place in the Premier League table and two points behind leaders Leicester City.
