Bastian Schweinsteiger and Ashley Young both praised Manchester United for their 3-0 victory over the Potters

Bastian Schweinsteiger and Ashley Young both took to social media to praise Manchester United for their impressive 3-0 win over Stoke City on Tuesday night.

The Red Devils headed into Tuesday’s game having only won two of their last 10 Premier League games but produced a much-improved performance in front of their home fans after the 1-0 loss to Southampton at Old Trafford last month.

Jesse Lingard headed in Cameron Borthwick-Jackson’s cross to give United the lead in the 14th minute, before summer signing Anthony Martial made it 2-0 in the 23rd minute.

Wayne Rooney then added a third when he scored from close range eight minutes after half-time.

Young was quick to take to Twitter after the game to praise his team-mates’ performance as they stayed within five points of the top four.

Young tweeted:

And midfielder Schweinsteiger was also quick to chime in with his congratulations after the final whistle.
