Jamie Carragher is happy with the Europa League last-16 draw...
Jamie Carragher has taken to social media to reveal his delight at seeing Liverpool be paired with Manchester United in the last 16 of the Europa League after Friday’s draw.
The Reds booked their place in the next round of Europe’s second tier club competition by beating Augsburg 1-0 at Anfield on Thursday night.
United, meanwhile, progressed thanks to their thumping 5-1 win over FC Midtjylland at Old Trafford.
The two English sides will now face off for a place in the quarter-finals, and former Liverpool defender was clearly thrilled by the prospect of the match-up.
Carragher tweeted on Friday afternoon:
Great Europa League draw for LFC, if we win happy days if we lose LVG will probably stay!!
