Jamie Carragher tells Liverpool to consider a summer transfer swoop for Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus
Jamie Carragher has urged Liverpool to make a summer swoop for Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus.
The Germany international has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, and the speculation linking Reus with a transfer to Liverpool could be set to gather pace in the summer following former Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp’s arrival at Anfield this season.
Liverpool missed out on the chance to sign Alex Teixeira in the January transfer window after he opted for a move to Chinese Super League Club Jiangsu Suning ahead of the Merseyside outfit.
Now, former Liverpool defender Carragher admits that he would love to see the Reds make a summer transfer swoop for Reus as Klopp gears up for his first full season in charge at Anfield.
Carragher told Sport Bild: “The squad lacks a top player who can have an immediate impact. I’d like to see Dortmund’s Marco Reus on the wing. He’d be a great fit.
“Add a forward and central midfielder to it and you can build on it.”
