Jamie Vardy previews Arsenal v Leicester
Jamie Vardy looks ahead to Arsenal's crunch clash with Leicester City at The Emirates on Sunday
Jamie Vardy has warned Arsenal that Leicester will be out to “hurt” them when they host the Foxes at Emirates Stadium in Sunday’s crunch clash.
The Gunners head into the game looking to build on their 2-0 win over Bournemouth last weekend and knowing that a win would lift them to within two points of top spot heading into the final 12 matches of the season.
Leicester, meanwhile, have been installed as the favourites to win the Premier League title after their stunning 3-1 win over Manchester City last weekend.
And Vardy insists that Claudio Ranieri’s men are confident of getting a result in north London on Sunday.
Vardy told Sky Sports: “They’re all massive, massive games, and we know it’s going to be tough, especially as they beat us 5-2 at our place earlier in the season.
“But I don’t really think it was a 5-2 game, I think it could have gone either way it was that open.
“We know they’ve got world class players in their ranks but we know we can cause anyone trouble when it comes to game time.
“We’ll be looking at ways to hurt them and putting that on the pitch on Sunday.”
Arsenal, who finished third and won the FA Cup last season, are looking to lift the Premier League trophy for the first time since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 campaign.
The Gunners host Hull in the fifth round of the FA Cup next weekend.
