John Terry has taken to social media to wish his Chelsea team-mates good luck after the Blues captain was ruled out of Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain due to injury.

The veteran defender picked up a hamstring injury during the 5-1 win over Newcastle on Sunday and although the problem is not as serious as first feared, Terry did not travel to France with his team-mates on Monday.

Terry posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “Gutted not to be involved tonight. Good Luck to the boys @chelseafc”

PSG and Chelsea are set to meet in the Champions League knockout rounds for the third successive season on Tuesday night.

Paris’ run of 16 successive wins in all competitions ended when they drew 0-0 at home with Lille on Saturday.
