Lee Dixon states his prediction for Chelsea v PSG
Lee Dixon has his say on the second leg of Chelsea's Champions League last-16 clash against Paris Saint-Germain
Lee Dixon believes Paris Saint-Germain will force extra-time at Stamford Bridge when Chelsea host the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie next month.
The defending Premier League champions suffered their first defeat since Guus Hiddink took over from Jose Mourinho in Paris last week.
John Obi Mikel scored a rare goal to cancel out Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s free-kick in the French capital before Edinson Cavani netted a late first-leg winner for the hosts.
Former Arsenal defender Dixon is tipping Chelsea to win 2-1 in the second leg after 90 minutes and extra-time when Laurent Blanc’s side make the return trip to London on 9 March.
“Obviously the away goal is a big plus. But you’ve got to score two goals against PSG. You’d expect PSG to get a goal. I think it might be 2-1 on the night and go to extra time,” Dixon told ITV Sport.
Chelsea were 5-1 winners against Manchester City in the FA Cup fifth round at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Hiddink’s side will face Everton at Goodison Park for a place in the FA Cup last four next month.
