Lord Sugar reacts to Tottenham Hotspur’s FA Cup exit

Lord Sugar reacts to Tottenham Hotspur's 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup on Sunday

Lord Sugar insisted Tottenham Hotspur deserved a place in the FA Cup quarter-finals after Sunday’s 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace at White Hart Lane.

Palace defender Martin Kelly scored a first-half winner for the visitors at White Hart Lane to seal a 1-0 win in the FA Cup fifth round.

Tottenham’s FA Cup exit was their first defeat in seven games in all competitions.

And former Spurs chairman Lord Sugar was unhappy with Palace’s approach to the cup tie in north London.

Tottenham are in second place in the Premier League and two points behind Leicester City ahead of next Sunday’s game against Swansea City in north London before Spurs travel to north London rivals Arsenal on 5 March.
