Luke Shaw reacts on Twitter to Man United progression

Luke Shaw is closing in on a return to action for Manchester United...

Luke Shaw has taken to social media to reveal that he is hopeful of making his return from injury should Manchester United reach the Europa League final.

The England defender has been out of action since suffering a double fracture of his leg during the Champions League defeat by PSV Eindhoven back in September.

Shaw has been working hard on his rehabilitation in recent weeks and will be hopeful of making his return to the team before the end of the current campaign.

The Europa League final takes place on 18 May – and Shaw has joked that he could be fit in time for the clash should United make it.

After watching United thrash FC Midtjylland 5-1 to reach the Europa League last 16 on Thursday night, defender Shaw tweeted:
