Michael Owen claims this man is suitable to be next Man United boss

Michael Owen says Mauricio Pochettino would be more suitable than Diego Simeone for the Manchester United job

Michael Owen has taken to social media to claim that Mauricio Pochettino would be a good fit to take over at Manchester United should Louis van Gaal leave the club in the summer.

The Dutchman’s position at Old Trafford has been a source of relentless speculation in recent weeks following the Red Devils’ recent stuttering form.

United did return to winning ways in the Premier League thanks to a convincing 3-0 victory over Stoke City at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.

However, it appears that Van Gaal’s position will continue to be a source of uncertainty for the rest of the season.

Jose Mourinho has been touted as one possible candidate to take over from Van Gaal following his sacking by Chelsea in December.

Asked by one fan on Twitter if he thought Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone would be a candidate to take over at United in his opinion, Owen replied:
