Michael Owen makes prediction about next Man United manager

Michael Owen only sees two men suitable for the Manchester United job...

Michael Owen believes that Jose Mourinho or Ryan Giggs are the two most suitable candidates to take over from Louis van Gaal at Manchester United if the Dutchman leaves the club in the summer.

There has been plenty of speculation about Van Gaal’s future at Old Trafford in recent weeks following their stuttering form.

The Red Devils were dumped out of the Champions League at the group stage back in December and face an uphill battle to finish in the top four this term, with United currently fifth and five points behind fourth-placed Arsenal.

Mourinho, who was sacked by Chelsea in December following their disastrous start to the season, has been touted as one of the potential favourites to take over at Old Trafford should Van Gaal leave the club in the summer.

And former United and Liverpool striker Owen feels that Mourinho or Giggs are likely to be the front-runners for the job.
