Michael Owen states his prediction for Leicester v Liverpool

Michael Owen looks ahead to Liverpool's Premier League showdown with Leicester City at the weekend

Michael Owen admits that he is struggling to pick a winner between Leicester City and Liverpool in Tuesday night’s Premier League showdown.

The Reds head to the King Power Stadium looking to return to winning ways after they were held to a goalless draw by West Ham United in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon.

High-flying Leicester head into this week’s round of fixtures top of the Premier League table ahead of the final 15 games of the season.

Liverpool have struggled to find consistent form in the Premier League since Jurgen Klopp was appointed as Brendan Rodgers’ successor at Anfield back in October.

The Reds are currently in seventh place in the table and eight points adrift of the top four.

And former Liverpool striker Owen admits that he is struggling to pick a winner for Tuesday’s game.

Writing in his column for Bet Victor, Owen said: “Liverpool are unbeaten in their last seven Premier League games against Leicester City and this is a tough game to call.

“The last 11 sides to top the Premier League at the turn of February have gone on to win the title and if the Foxes are still top of the table by the end of the weekend, they must be considered major players in the title race.”
