The Red Devils head into the game fresh from booking their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup thanks to their 3-1 win over Derby County on Friday night.
Louis van Gaal’s side have faced plenty of criticism this season for their stuttering form in the top flight.
United have only won two of their last 10 Premier League games and head into their midweek clash five points adrift of the top four.
However, former Liverpool and Red Devils striker Owen is expecting to see United return to winning ways against the Potters in front of their home fans.
Writing in his column for Bet Victor, Owen said: “Stoke have lost all seven Premier League games at Old Trafford, but one interesting stat ahead of the game is that the Potters have had more shots on target away from home (40) than United have had at home (35) so far this season.
“I think one goal might be enough and Stoke looked a little flat at Selhurst Park at the weekend.”
United were handed a trip to Shrewsbury Town in the fifth round of the FA Cup after their win at Derby.
